Standing Out in the Internal Communications Market

Reach was developed by Intranet Connections (formerly IC Thrive) as a digital tool designed to help internal communications managers schedule and distribute messages across multiple channels.

As the Senior Web and Graphic Designer, I led the production of the website, branding, and marketing assets for the product launch.

The problem

Internal communications is a niche industry, where internal comms managers often lack the authority to choose the tools they use in their daily work. The B2B market for these tools is crowded with complex solutions, making it challenging for a new entrant like Reach to stand out.

The solution

To ensure clarity and efficiency for potential customers, we built a mini-site that provided concise information and a streamlined path to demos and sales.

For branding, I expanded the color palette based on the product’s identity and developed a custom illustration and icon library that reflected the simplicity, openness, and expertise of the business.

Outcome & Impact

The website was designed and launched in under a month, successfully introducing Reach to the market. This allowed the team to begin engaging with the target audience and expanding the product offering.

Closing Statement

Working across all aspects of this project gave me a deep understanding of both business challenges and user needs. I gained valuable insight into internal communications, B2B sales cycles, pricing strategies, demos, whitepapers, and landing page optimization.

The next step for this project would be implementing an A/B testing strategy to refine and optimize performance.
